Description: The City of Shawnee has received funding through the KDOT Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) to improve the safety of the horizontal curve on Johnson Drive at the intersection of Barker Road. The scope of the project will include changes to the geometry of the road by superelevating the curve and adding high friction surfacing to improve vehicle control and improved markings and signage to increase visibility and reduce speeds.
Status Details: The project is currently under design and is expected to go out for bids in August
