| Description |
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will be completely reconstructing the I-435 bridge decks over Midland Drive in 2024. Roadway and lane closures of Midland Drive are expected during construction. Staff has identified the twin 150 foot long, 4'x8' reinforced concrete boxes (RCBs) on Midland Drive between the I-435 northbound ramps and Renner Road as a priority for replacement and completing this work as part of the KDOT Project will reduce overall travel delays and potentially result in construction cost savings. |
| Status Details |
Final Plans for the Midland RCBs have been accepted for incorporation into the KDOT Midland Bridge Plan Set. KDOT will administer the project advertisement in March 2024 with construction to start in June 2024. |
